I am Bryce Gilbert, a student in the Magnet program at Wheeler High School. I hope you enjoy this portfolio where I highlight the work I've done throughout my time at Wheeler. I've had great opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom to learn and grow. 

As part of completing the Computer Science and Engineering & Technology pathways, my classes allowed me to be creative and constructive, learning the engineering process, design tools and more. In my freshman science class, I was encouraged to complete a science fair project. My topic and the research associated with it advanced me to the state Science & Engineering fair and had me excited to continue my research the following year outside of a classroom assignment.

Robotics has been my passion since 4th grade and I chose to apply to Wheeler primarily for CircuitRunners Robotics. I was invited onto the FTC 11347 Blackout team. Designing, building and testing not only our competition robots but our outreach robots has been an incredible learning experience. I was excited to lead our team to the FIRST World Championship this year.

I am very excited to spend this fall interning at KSU's Mechatronics Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Voicu. He is doing amazing things with AI driven robotics to improve the health and longevity of people in our community. I'm honored to be able to learn from him and contribute to such a positive effort.
